Sunshine Rae's Speak Easy, is a contemporary Harlem Cabaret created by Ajuana Black! With the amazing character, Sunshine Rae Johnson, who Ajuana plays, tunes of classic jazz standards as well as contemporary jazz songs come bellowing out of her and into the atmosphere like you have never experienced before! With Ajuana's musical theatre background, she allows her character, "Sunshine Rae" to be her conduit to express excitement, love, life, & pure infatuation for the man she loves to hate.....Ernie McDaniels!
Everyone who comes to see Sunshine Rae's Speak Easy, gets an absolute kick out of the whole "cabaret style" performance that Ajuana performs! Singing, dancing, & prancing throughout the audience, leaves everyones heart feeling truely entertained in a real classic type of Harlem way!
And to top it all off...Her band BLACKOUT just adds more reason why this "Harlem Cabaret" is such a joy to watch as well as listen to. Under the musical directorship of Rod Munson(guitar), BLACKOUT delivers these various classic and contemporary tunes with passion, excitement, & a whole lot of Harlem-Style vibration as well! With John Brooks on keys, Julius Johnson on drums, Jahon Pride on bass , & Wanda Butler adding her wonderful background vocals to the whole extravaganza,The Sunshine Rae's Speak Easy becomes a show that people are magnetically drawn to come back to over and over again!
