Theatre

Ajuana Black's performance  literally started at the tender age of 4 when she performed her first Kindergarten play. She states,

 

 "I remember feeling super alive when I was on that stage. All the kids were bumping into each other. I was thinking, "Can't ya'll keep up? It's easy!"

Musical Theatre is a language I understand. It is my 1st language!" 

Since those breath taking primary days,

Ajuana Black has continued professionally with her passion for musical theatre starring in musicals such as...

  • Dream Girls (Lorrell), which included Dorian Wilson from the hit sitcom The Parkers,

  • Go Down Garvey, which included Sharon Neal who recently played in the movie Dream Girls as well as the Tyler Perry movie, Why Did I get Married?

  • Once On This Island (Timoune), & Aint Misbehavin' (Charlene)!                Throughout the years. and shares that her approach to playing in bands and any other type of performance always stems back to her foundation and growth in musical theatre!

Even more, Ajuana  has  had extensive opportunities over the years, including currently of teaching musical theatre to elementary, middle school, and high school students through organizations which include L.E.A.P. , Girl Scouts, Roots of Unique Awareness School, Heads Up( Head Royce Summer Program) St. Dominic School, Dr. Herbert Guice Christian Academy, ASA Academy , Full Visoin Kids, & currently American Indian Public Charter.
